Resolve Failed Verification (RFV)

010: Type of rental = Company Rental

Here, we must verify that the company is a legal business and has a decent online profile.

1. Verify the company's legal information (business license, registration, permit, utility bill).
2. Verify business address, through website, POA and other legal documentation
3. Search company's website and domain, social media presence, LinkedIn profile, customer reviews, and interactions.
4. Authenticate company's payment information and authorized representative.
5. Authenticate the Certificate of Insurance (COI).

020: RRV < $1999 + PRI > 0-5

The payment (card) source might be compromised; therefore, we might add a second payment source for authenticity or weigh other risk factors.

• If the RRV stays below $1999, the PRI stays below 65%, and the rental does not include a camera and/or lens, we can approve this account.
• If the PRI is above 65% and/or the rental includes a camera and/or lens, a full verification of the secondary contact must be initiated. This must include government ID and PRI.
• If the secondary contact verification fails, the rental account cannot be created at this point. Please escalate to FD.

021: RRV < $1999 + Type of Rental = Company

• Here we just need to follow the steps in 010 and approve rental

022: RRV > $1999

Rental Replacement value is above $1999.

If the rental does not contain cameras and/or lenses, 2 out of 3-step verification is required:

1. Verify social media and mutual friends.
2. Verify the website and social media as it relates to the customer's profession.
3. Contact the secondary contact.

If the rental contains cameras and/or lenses, 3 out of 8 steps must be positive:

1. Verify social media and mutual friends.
2. Verify the website and social media as it relates to the customer's profession.
3. Contact the secondary contact.
4. Cs or secondary contact must provide a referral or proof of a previous rental from another rental house in Canada.
5. Cs or secondary contact must provide proof of enrolment from a government-approved institution (post-secondary, college, or university in Canada).
6. Cs or secondary contact can provide proof of employment from a legal company that has been operating for at least 5 years (company structure must be a corporation, partnership, or non-profit organization in Canada).
7. For International renters, Travel documents must be provided (Eg: International Passport)
8. Cs or Secondary contact must demonstrate at least intermediate knowledge of use of equipment 

030: RRV < $1999 + Order Content = Camera or Lens

When Replacement Value is below $1999 but order contains Camera and/or lenses 2 out of 7-step verification is required:

1. Verify social media and mutual friends.
2. Verify the website and social media as it relates to the customer's profession.
3. Contact the secondary contact.
4. For International renters, Travel documents must be provided (Eg: International Passport)
5. Cs or secondary contact must provide a referral or proof of a previous rental from another rental house in Canada.
6. Cs or secondary contact must must provide proof of enrollment from a government-approved institution (post-secondary, college, or university in Canada).
7. Cs or secondary contact can provide proof of employment from a legal company that has been operating for at least 5 years (company structure must be a corporation, partnership, or non-profit organization in Canada).

031: RRV < $1999 + ID Type ≠ DL

Replacement Value is below $1999 but ID type is not Drivers Licence and order does not contain Camera and/or lens, 1 out of 3-step verification is required:

1. Verify social media and mutual friends.
2. Verify the website and social media as it relates to the customer's profession.
3. Contact the secondary contact.

But if order contains Camera and/or lens 2 out of 7-step verification is required required:

1. Verify social media and mutual friends.
2. Verify the website and social media as it relates to the customer's profession.
3. Contact the secondary contact.
4. For International renters, Travel documents must be provided (Eg: International Passport)
5. Cs or secondary contact must provide a referral or proof of a previous rental from another rental house in Canada.
6. Cs or secondary contact must must provide proof of enrollment from a government-approved institution (post-secondary, college, or university in Canada).
7. Cs or secondary contact can provide proof of employment from a legal company that has been operating for at least 5 years (company structure must be a corporation, partnership, or non-profit organization in Canada).

040: PRI ≠ 0-5

Payment Radar Insight is above 5%. This means there might be a bit of risk with the payment card. If the order does not contain a camera and/or lens, 2 out of 3-step verification is required:

1. Verify social media and mutual friends.
2. Verify the website and social media as it relates to the customer's profession.
3. Contact the secondary contact.

If the order contains a camera and/or lens, 3 out of 7-step verification is required:

1. Verify social media and mutual friends.
2. Verify the website and social media as it relates to the customer's profession.
3. Contact the secondary contact.
4. For International renters, Travel documents must be provided (Eg: International Passport)
5. Cs or secondary contact must provide a referral or proof of a previous rental from another rental house in Canada.

Driver's license is not valid. The customer can provide another valid government-issued ID or use secondary contact ID and verification if the order does not contain a camera and/or lens and is below $15,000 replacement value.
